Thin Water Tanks – Perfect for Limited Space
On residential properties access for a tank delivery can be difficult. This is where the slimline tank designs are great. Access is more achievable to most residential properties, when purchasing a slimline tank, as it can be custom built to allow entry through existing entry points, whether it be a side gateway or through a carport, thanks to the narrow design of the tank.
If space is available, but access is more of an issue the slimline design, still allows water storage of up to 8,523 litres. Multiple slimline tanks can also be used on the property to increase your water storage. Perfect for having your own source of water in times of need. A great idea for your slimline tank is to install a bucket height tap, so you can gravity fill your bucket at any time.
With the classic corrugated finish on the slimline tanks they are well suited to a range of properties from the modern, contemporary, colonial, beachside, or rustic styles. Our slimline tanks can be custom built in Stainless Steel or Colorbond materials.
Your slimline water tank colour can be matched or contrasted to your existing colour scheme. See our range of colours available.
Your own harvested water supply is so beneficial if you love to garden, keep your car sparkling or just lower your council water bills. In times of water restrictions, you will still have your own water supply to use for your property, and by lowering the demand on the council or town supply water, you can save some money too.
Slimline Water Tanks Best Materials
Select Water Tanks make steel water tanks that are longer lasting, better looking, healthier, and can be custom made in terms of shape and size. They can be made from either grade 304, marine grade 316 stainless steel, or colorbond steel.
304 Grade Stainless Steel
Grade 304 stainless steel is generally regarded as the most common austenitic stainless steel. It contains high nickel content that is typically between 8 and 10.5 percent by weight and a high amount of chromium at approximately 18 to 20 percent by weight. Other major alloying elements include manganese, silicon, and carbon. The remainder of the chemical composition is primarily iron.In most applications the steel is used where its corrosion resistance gives long lasting appearance and service life. The ease of cleaning and of maintaining a hygienic surface on the steel make it excellent for many purposes.
Our 304 Grade is a good choice if you live inland away from the salt corrosive sea.
316 Grade Stainless Steel
Grade 316 Stainless Steel is a metal alloy, made up of steel mixed with elements such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, silicon, aluminum, and carbon. Iron mixed with carbon to produce steel is the main component of stainless steel. Chromium is added to make it resistant to rust.
Water tanks made from Grade 316 are perfect for sea-side environments. They can be easily cleaned, resists organic chemicals, and a wide variety of inorganic chemicals.
Here’s a tip! Fresh water and air react with the chromium oxide compound that forms a passive layer over the steel, if damaged the passive film reconstitutes itself. So make sure you give your 316 Stainless Steel water tank an occasional rinse with rainwater.
Colorbond Water Tanks offer great value for money for your Brisbane home. They are built in the classic corrugated finish and come in a range of colours that can be matched or contrasted to your existing colour scheme.
Colorbond Water Tanks have a 20 year non corrosion warranty and a 10 year manufacturers warranty, and are an economical choice for your water tank. Being made from steel, they are built to withstand Australia’s harsh conditions and they will maintain structural integrity in the event of a bushfire, which makes them a good choice for firefighting tanks. We can custom build to your requirements to meet your council’s regulations for bushfire overlays.
