Round Water Tank Deliveries
On smaller residential properties access for a tank delivery can be difficult. There are a few considerations when working out the size tank for your site. You will need to measure access heights and widths to make sure we can get your tank to the prepared base.
Generally the tank will be rolled [on protective mattresses] at your property and the height clearance required for access will need to be greater than the diameter of the tank ordered, and the width clearance required for access will need to be greater than the height of the tank ordered. When there are no restrictions you can choose the tank[s] to best suit your needs.
You can even interconnect a series of tanks to maximise your water storage. The round style tanks are the most economical to manufacture, as they do not need the internal rodding the slimline tanks have.
With the classic corrugated finish on the round tanks they are well suited to a range of properties from the modern, contemporary, colonial, beachside, or rustic styles.
Being manufactured from steel the tanks can be made to meet council requirements for firefighting purposes, be incorporated into a whole of house rainwater harvesting system, or to have as your very own water supply in times of need.
Your own harvested water supply is so beneficial if you love to garden, keep your car sparkling or just lower your council water bills. In times of water restrictions, you will still have your own water supply to use for your property, and by lowering the demand on the council or town supply water, you can save some money too.
316 Grade Stainless Steel
Grade 316 Stainless Steel is a metal alloy, made up of steel mixed with elements such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, silicon, aluminum, and carbon. Iron mixed with carbon to produce steel is the main component of stainless steel. Chromium is added to make it resistant to rust.
Water tanks made from Grade 316 are perfect for sea-side environments. They can be easily cleaned, resists organic chemicals, and a wide variety of inorganic chemicals.
Here’s a tip! Fresh water and air react with the chromium oxide compound that forms a passive layer over the steel, if damaged the passive film reconstitutes itself. So make sure you give your 316 Stainless Steel water tank an occasional rinse with rainwater.
304 Grade Stainless Steel
Grade 304 stainless steel is generally regarded as the most common austenitic stainless steel. It contains high nickel content that is typically between 8 and 10.5 percent by weight and a high amount of chromium at approximately 18 to 20 percent by weight. Other major alloying elements include manganese, silicon, and carbon. The remainder of the chemical composition is primarily iron. In most applications the steel is used where its corrosion resistance gives long lasting appearance and service life. The ease of cleaning and of maintaining a hygienic surface on the steel make it excellent for many purposes.
Our 304 Grade is a good choice if you live inland away from the salt corrosive sea.
Colorbond / AQUAPLATE®
Colorbond Water Tanks offer great value for money for your Brisbane home. They are built in the classic corrugated finish and come in a range of colours that can be matched or contrasted to your existing colour scheme.
Colorbond Water Tanks have a 20 year non corrosion warranty and a 10 year manufacturers warranty, and are an economical choice for your water tank. Being made from steel, they are built to withstand Australia’s harsh conditions and they will maintain structural integrity in the event of a bushfire, which makes them a good choice for firefighting tanks. We can custom build to your requirements to meet your council’s regulations for bushfire overlays.
